Packet One (P1), Green Packet's unit, will announce the prices of its wireless Internet access services on Aug 19, CEO Michael Lai said. "Over 1,000 people have expressed their interest to sign up while we currently have a few hundred pioneer subscribers," Lai said. Prospective subscribers can have a two-week free trial before they choose to subscribe and P1 expects 70% of its users to be consumers and the rest from businesses. Revenue from the WiMAX service will only be felt next year, Lai added.
