Network Engineer Needed

Description

• Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution to the client, in accordance with an agreed technical design.
• Responsible for providing a detailed design for Network solution. Understands a broad spectrum of Network Solutions in order to provide part or all of a detailed technical design which meets customer requirements.
• Responsible for implementation solutions designed on leading network products like Cisco ASA/PIX etc.
• Responsible for design & implementation of LAN/WAN solutions designed on HP Networking, Cisco, 3COM, etc.
• Lead large to medium technical projects. Works with and under the direction of the Project/Technical Manager and with customer nominated representatives. Liaises with Solutions Architect as appropriate.
• Provides advice on solution and integration opportunities to defined segments.
• Provides technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement.
• Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value. Demonstrates execution of the HP strategy.
• Technical Skills specifically required:

- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & resolving Firewalls, WAN, LAN, DNS, Caching and Network Security Issues, Wireless LAN (good to have).\

- Experienced in administering large-scale and complex WAN network, transmission and routing protocol (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VOIP, ATM, VPN, POS, SONET, Frame-Relay, QoS)

- Experienced in administering TCP/IP LANs (VLAN routing, VTP, Spanning Tree)

- Strong knowledge in TCP/IP protocol

- Good working knowledge of networks - routers, L2 and L3 switches, gateways and networking servers

- Good troubleshooting skill in Cisco Router, Cisco Pix and CheckPoint Firewall

- Good knowledge in Cisco networking product (2600, 3600, 3700, 7200, 7600 routers; 2900, 3500, 6500, 8500 catalyst switches.  

 

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Formal IT qualification - Cisco Certified Network Associate, CCNA (CCNP, CCDA or CCDP will be added advantages). (Depends Job Requirements)
• Those without Cisco certification but have relevant practical experienced in managing LAN/WAN enterprise networking are strongly encourage to apply. (Depends Job Requirements)
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years experience within IT Operations, infrastructure services support (Systems and Network management), operations monitoring and end user support
• Minimum of 2 years technical knowledge of the applicable platform that you will be responsible for: Network management - WAN, LAN, Firewall, Voice over IP (VOIP). Minimally, experienced in Enterprise WAN, Cisco skills, high end switches/routers, other WAN equipment and monitoring software skills
• Must be able to demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Excellent understanding of ITSM\ITIL processes
• Must be a Service and Customer oriented team player. Flexible, self motivated with the ability to work under pressure in an International and culturally diverse organization
• Must posses the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
• Good motivational skills plus verbal and written communication skills, strong command of English Language. Fluent in local languages advantageous. Strong interpersonal and telephone skills
• Strategic thinker with a positive attitude, initiative, proactive personality, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have good analytical skills. (Depends Job Requirements)
