* To plan, supervise, guide and monitor operational/ tactical activities of staffs in server management team for their assigned responsibilities.
* Work with application support teams for planning and design on information system hardware architectures and requirements to support new implementation or enhancement of IT application systems in the company.
* To define data center policy, operational procedures and methods for daily data center maintenance as well as communication to users.
* Manage systems development activities in data center, ensure acceptance procedures for server and other hardware deliveries during setting up.
* Prepare reporting to include monthly operations reports, management reports, performance analysis and benchmarking.
Job Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
* Professional experiences of at least 6-7 years, preferably from telecommunications or ISP industries.
* Administration experiences in hardware platform (server, OS, database, storage, backup) for telecommunications applications are strongly encouraged.
* Specific knowledge of large scale Microsoft Windows (XP, Server 2003 and etc) or UNIX (Solaris, HP-UX, Linux and etc) operating systems.
* Good knowledge in database (Oracle/MSSQL/MySQL).
* Familiar with SAN storage and backup solutions.
* Advanced knowledge of system hardware configurations and troubleshooting that optimize system performance as well as provide quality procedures.
* Knowledge of File System Management, Disk Management, NAS, Firewall, LAN/WAN products, DNS and monitoring/debugging tools is an added advantage.
* Project management skills required.
* Possess relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
* Ability to interact successfully with all levels of subordinates and management.
* Possess high level of analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
* Ability to think out-of-the-box and recommend alternative solutions for challenges encountered.
* Ability to work under pressure and driven by results, consistently demonstrate initiative.
* Excellent communication skill, presentation skill as well as good interpersonal skill.
