5 sen increase of RON95 won’t affect consumers

http://www.malaysiatoday.com/Latest-News/5-sen-increase-of-ron95-wont-affect-consumers.html
Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operative and Consumerism claims that the increase of 5 sen for the newly launched RON95 petrol will not affect a majority of consumers. He said “Technically, they (consumers) are unaffected. When RON95 started being sold nationwide from Tuesday onwards, the public were still forking out the same amount of money for petrol. The earlier price was RM1.75 per litre because ROM97 was then sold at RM1.80. The government continues to subsidise petrol and spends RM304mil a month just for this purpose. It subsidises nine sen per litre so that the public pays only RM1.80 per litre at the pumps. I hope consumers are now clear on this matter. Irresponsible parties must not take the opportunity to spark anger and confusion among the public when the Government has not increased the petrol price,”

好苹果 = rm 1.80
烂苹果 = rm 1.00

烂苹果 = rm 1.80

Home Minister to meet ‘cow head’ protestors

http://www.malaysiatoday.com/Latest-News/home-minister-to-meet-cow-head-protestors.html
Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, the Home Minister said that he will be expecting the Section 23 residents group who were involved in the ‘cow head’ incident in protest to the relocation of a Hindu temple last Friday. He wants to hear out their grievances about this and will grant the residents their request to meet him. He also said that the police is currently investigating the issue over the reports lodged and that until the probe is over, the issue is still under wraps. He said "But we are not hiding anything from the people... We will take action against anybody who have (affected sensitive issues) but at the same time we need to be fair to the people concerned (the residents),"
