虾婆

  1. Dam boring at home n nobody cook for me as my mom visit to PP. Drive to Kuala Selangor ( approximately 70.1 + 70.1 = 140.2 km) and bought my favourite seafood, 虾婆。Market price is rm4 per kilo but the tauke offer rm3 per kilo for me( of course lah, everytime i buy from him). Other than that, I also bought the small prawns (rm14 per kilo), big prawn(rm41 per kilo), 西刀鱼 n squid. As usual, heavy rain on the way back :( and I have wash my car again...

  2. hi, thanks for the photos, yap, they r different from S's. ours the shell is hard and dark in colour, urs looks more like prawn ;)

  11. haha, "GONG BO" style, dried chili + onion + black sauce. Want to try? give one month notice :P

  12. a, one cooking method is to add egg white, tomato and chilli sauce to create an orangy gravy.
    This is a common way of cooking crabs

  13. eh actually what is that ah... is that the one in cantonese you call it 'lai liew har' - i dont know why people call it that way, but i think in english it's mantis prawns...

  15. ya, this is call "lai liew har". The got this name because when it leave leave the water, it will spill some water out, seems like it's pissing. So ppls call it "lai liew har"

    Actually this creature very cheap, most of the fisherman dun like this as it will bring bad luck to them.
